Chrome is a plating that goes over the aluminum rim. Re-Chroming the rim can only be done in California. However, sending it to California is very expensive and can take up to 6 weeks to get back. We have a process to fix the curb rash without re-plating it. Chrome rim repairs come out about 85% - 95% better.
